Born in Kathmandu, Bhaju Ram had an early informal education under Muslim and Hindu teachers until grade 5. He spent grades 5-10 in a government school and grade 11 in the College of Education in Kathmandu. He received his college education in Spicer College, Poona, India and graduated in Elementary Education, in 1978.
He converted in 1969 to accept Jesus and married Purna Maya in 1979. They had two sons- Dipendra and Jitendra. Purna Maya passed away from lung cancer in 2004.
Bhaju Ram has been working in an international school in Kathmandu, Nepal since 1978. He is currently an elder at the Kathmandu Valley Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
